Simple Harmonic Motion

I would know if something was an example of simple harmonic motion by seeing if it moves back and forth or up and down. Simple harmonic motion is basically the motion of moving back and forth or up and down so its not complicated. One example of simple harmonic motion are swings. Swings go back and forth. That's something you see everyday. Another example of simple harmonic motion is a carnival ride called the pirate. This ride starts by swinging back and forth and it gets higher and higher every time. And a final example of simple harmonic motion is a metal ball pendulum.
