Doppler Radar
Let me start by saying what Doppler Effect is. Doppler Effect is the increase or decrease in the frequency of light, sound or other waves as the source and observer move toward or away from eachother. A Doppler Radar detects the wind dirrection, wind speed and precipitation's force. A Doppler Radar is combined with satelites which allows forecasters to provide us with upcoming thunderstorms, tornadoes or any other storm that could cause damage. Doppler Radars work by the satelites measuring the changes in the frequency of the signal the radar gets to conclude the wind.
