Phase Change
This morning, I wanted to make French toast. I prepared everything and all I had to do was put butter on the pan and put the French toast on it. I got the butter stick from the refrigerator and starting rubbing it on the pan. I noticed that the more I rubbed the butter stick on the pan, the more the butter stick melted. How do you explain that? Through physics. A butter stick is a solid when it is in the refrigerator and it is a liquid when it is near heat. The butter stick had a phase change. The heat from the stove on the pan made a solid turn into a liquid. This phase change is called melting.
