Electric Vocabulary

So far, I know that electricity is a form of energy that occurs when there are charged particles. Charged particles such as electrons and protons. Electrons and protons are opposites and since they are opposites, they attract. Protons are positive where as electrons are negative. Protons, electrons and neutrons all work together. I like to think of neutrons as the glue that keep the electrons and the protons together in an atom. If there are two protons next to each other, they will repel. Since there are two atoms of the same substance, they seem to not like to be next to each other. Sam thing goes to there being two electrons next to each other. Metal is a good conductor. A conductor allows electrons to flow freely through them. On the other hand, an insulator is the complete opposite and it DOES NOT let electrons flow freely. A good insulator would be glass.
